The Opportunity: Revenue Operations Analyst

We’re seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Revenue Operations Analyst to join our high-performing Revenue Operations team. This is a high-impact, entry-level opportunity perfect for someone who:

As a Revenue Operations Analyst at Cobalt, you’ll serve as a crucial bridge between our sales, marketing, and customer success teams. You’ll help maintain trust across departments by keeping reports updated, systems clean, and sales teams equipped with the insights they need to succeed.


What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Analytics

Own Data Integrity: You’ll be the guardian of our revenue data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all systems. Clean, organize, and maintain data in our CRM (Salesforce) and related revenue tools to ensure our teams can trust the information they’re working with.

Build Insightful Reports: Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key revenue metrics. From pipeline health to forecast accuracy, your reports will inform strategic decisions at every level of the organization.

Perform Complex Analysis: Dive deep into sales performance data, quota attainment, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts. You’ll use Excel, SQL, and BI tools to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and solve business-critical questions.

Support Revenue Planning: Assist with territory planning, quota setting, and compensation analysis. Your calculations and models will directly impact how we structure our go-to-market organization.

System Administration & Optimization

Manage Revenue Technology Stack: Serve as an administrator for key tools including Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, and revenue intelligence software. Configure workflows, manage user access, and troubleshoot technical issues.

Drive Process Improvements: Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend data-driven solutions. Document best practices and create scalable systems that grow with our business.

Enable Automation: Work with the RevOps team to implement automation that reduces manual work and improves data flow between systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Sales Teams: Understand the challenges sales representatives face and provide the operational support they need to be successful. Respond to data requests, troubleshoot system issues, and provide training on tools and processes.

Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with marketing to ensure lead data quality and attribution accuracy. Partner with finance on revenue recognition and forecasting. Communicate insights to leadership teams.

Act as a Trusted Advisor: Build relationships across the organization by being responsive, reliable, and solutions-oriented. Your work will directly impact the success of multiple teams.


What You Bring: Required Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in sales operations, marketing operations, or data analysis roles

Technical Skills

Excel/Google Sheets Mastery: Advanced proficiency with formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS), pivot tables, data validation, and complex modeling. You should be comfortable building sophisticated spreadsheets from scratch.

CRM Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms (HubSpot, Pipedrive). Understanding of standard objects, custom fields, reports, and dashboards.

Data Analysis Fundamentals: Comfort working with large datasets, identifying patterns, and drawing meaningful conclusions. Basic understanding of statistical concepts.

SQL Knowledge (Preferred): Ability to write basic queries to extract and manipulate data from databases. This isn’t required but will set you apart.

Business Intelligence Tools: Exposure to tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.

What Success Looks Like: First Year Goals

Months 1-3: Foundation Building

  • Master our technology stack and become proficient in Salesforce and key revenue tools
